Papier is a series made with found wallpaper samples and delicately cut watercolor painted paper butterflies. I love the whimsy of monkeys drinking and smoking as they socialize amongst the trees. Adding the butterflies makes pays homage to magical realism. With this series, I want to create affordable and sustainable art that might otherwise become trash. This piece is made with Astek’s Drunk Monkeys: Colada and is one of a kind.
