Hello! Today I realized that I’ve been so busy launching Paper Scissors Art that I haven’t properly introduced myself. I’m Caroline Belanger, the artist behind the paper.

Over the past couple months, I have been privileged to work on an amazing project with my daughter’s school, The Lamplighter School. Lamplighter is the most magical school teaching children to love learning, each other, and the world around us. I could go on and on about how much we love this school, but that’s not why you are here! However, I will say that this school has embraced our creative family with such enthusiasm that they are always finding inventive ways for us to be involved.

I LOVE PAPER. Paint, print, fold, tear, cut. Soft as velvet or slick and shiny. Readily available to all, not everyone sees paper the way I do. Not all paper is destined for a filing cabinet or recycling bin. Paper has the potential to bring joy to others, whether it be announcing an important life event, declaring ownership, collecting memories, or illustrating imagination. Transform it, frame it, and display it for all to see.
