Sometimes, a private commission offers a rare opportunity to work with both subjects and colors which are among my own favorites. In Fleur, thousands of hand-painted paper petals have been carefully placed to create a flower filled with bright and calm blues—contrasted by animated bursts of pink, orange, and yellow. The result is a wonderful balance of color for a wonderful family!
